New Build Defects Reporting Form

Before you Begin:

If you believe you have a defect in your new rental or prviate sale home and are still within the 2‑year defects period please use this form. We will acknowledge your report within one working day and guide you through the next steps.

Before you Report

Check your Home User Guide (HUG) for examples of what is and is not a defect and for simple checks you can try first. Your HUG also explains how the customer care process works during the Defects Liability Period.

This includes:

• Private sale new homes, and
• Newly built rental homes managed by Lafford Living

If you rent a Lafford Living home that is not newly built, please use our Rental Repairs Request form instead.

This form is not to be used for Emergencies

If there is an immediate risk to safety or serious damage to the home (for example, major water leaks, loss of power, or unsafe electrics), please use the emergency contact details in your Home Users Guide.
