Lafford Group Launches Website and NHQB Membership

Council-owned developer strengthens consumer standards through NHQB membership as it expands into new-build sales and grows its new homes pipeline.

Lafford Group NHQB membership has been confirmed alongside the launch of the organisation’s refreshed brand and new website, marking a significant step in its evolution as it transitions to a clearer group structure and scales up its role in delivering high-quality new homes across North Kesteven and beyond.

The website launch coincides with Lafford’s start of adopting the New Homes Quality Code (NHQC) through membership of the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB), embedding stronger consumer standards and transparent customer processes as the organisation expands its development and sales activity.

The new website brings together information about Lafford Group, Lafford Living and Lafford New Homes, helping customers and stakeholders find clearer information about homes, developments and services.

The rebrand reflects Lafford’s move from a single operating entity into Lafford Group, providing clearer focus and governance across dedicated subsidiaries including Lafford New Homes (development and new-build sales) and Lafford Living (rental management).

Lafford Group’s five-year plan forecasts a substantial delivery programme. Over the period from 2026/27, the Group is forecast to start work on residential schemes that will deliver at least 709 new homes across all tenures, which will support the ambition to increase the scale and supply of new homes across the company’s areas of operation.

Lafford Group NHQB membership supports the organisation’s commitment to clearer customer information, stronger governance and higher standards as Lafford New Homes prepares to enter new-build sales. The move gives customers greater confidence as the Group grows its development pipeline and expands its role in delivering new homes.

What Lafford Group NHQB Membership Means for Customers

The New Homes Quality Code sets clear requirements for developers to provide fair and complete information, good customer service and transparent complaint handling throughout the buying journey and for the period after moving in. Customers who reserve from a registered developer on or after its registration date are protected by the Code and can access the New Homes Ombudsman Service from reservation and for two years after legal completion.

Lafford Group NHQB membership forms part of a wider commitment to clearer customer information, stronger governance and higher standards as the organisation prepares to expand its new-build sales activity.

“In our 10th year as a company, the changes to our operating structure and branding represent the next phase of Lafford Group’s evolution. Our move to Lafford Group creates clearer focus across our activities, including Lafford Living for rental management and Lafford New Homes as we prepare to enter new-build sales in a controlled, low-risk way.

By adopting the New Homes Quality Code through the New Homes Quality Board, we are embedding customer-first standards and transparent processes from day one. Our ambition is to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient homes and places that create long-term value for customers and communities.”

Councillor Richard Wright, Leader of North Kesteven District Council, said: “This launch is about clarity, confidence and raising the bar. The refreshed Lafford Group brand and new website make it easier for residents, partners, and stakeholders to understand what Lafford does today and how it will grow responsibly for the future. As a Council-owned company, Lafford supports our ambition to deliver sustainable housing growth and energy-efficient development that meets the needs of all, helping to build a district of flourishing communities. The adoption of the New Homes Quality Code is another important step in strengthening consumer standards as Lafford expands into new-build homes.”

Matthew Spittles, Chair of the Board and Non-Executive Director, Lafford Group “This is a strong and strategic milestone for Lafford and for the Council’s wider housing ambitions. The move to a clearer group structure, supported by a modern website, strengthens transparency and governance as the organisation grows.

It also aligns with our focus on quality homes that are built and managed to higher standards, while supporting our net zero ambitions through a transition that delivers real-life co-benefits including homes that are warmer and more affordable to heat. We are embedding the New Homes Quality Code alongside this launch to reinforce a clear commitment to high design standards and continuous improvement.”
