🚧Work Begins on Waddington Rental Homes
Lafford Homes, owned by North Kesteven District Council, has officially started construction on its biggest project yet — the Waddington rental homes development. This new scheme will bring 42 high-quality rental homes to the area, helping to meet strong local demand.

🏡 What Will the Development Include?
The site is being transformed into a mix of 1 to 4-bedroom flats, houses, and bungalows. These homes are designed for modern living and will include:
- 28 homes for the private rental market
- 14 homes for affordable rent
Each homes will be:
✅ Energy-efficient
✅ Built to the latest standards
✅ Designed with practical layouts and quality finishes
As a result, the development will offer more choice for local people and support a better mix of housing in Waddington.
🎉A Milestone Moment
On 8 September 2020, a socially distanced photo event marked the start of construction. Representatives from ENGIE, Lafford Homes, and North Kesteven District Council attended.

The project received outline planning permission in February 2017, and full approval followed in June 2020.
🏘️ About Lafford Homes
Lafford Homes was established by North Kesteven District Council for the purpose of investing in new housing by focussing on supporting the delivery of high quality private rented accommodation and, where scheme viability allows, the provision of affordable housing in line with the Local Planning Authority’s planning obligations. The company was established on 4 August 2016.
Operating through its own board of directors and working with trusted building firms, Lafford Homes aims to raise the bar as a landlord, setting new standards in rental quality and service.
📈 Lafford Homes Expands Its Porfolio
This is the largest development Lafford Homes has undertaken so far. Once complete, the Waddington rental homes development will increase the company’s portfolio from 72 to 114 properties.
